Hiring FAQ

Playing time: Depending on the function / event we will play 2 - 3 sets of approximately 40 - 60 minutes in length.

How big is a Big Band: Our big band line-up can vary between 10 and 18 people.

Space: The band can fit in a surprisingly small space (approximately the size of a large gazebo - 6 metres by 3 metres).

Volume: A 12+ piece Big Band is loud, especially in smaller enclosed venues.  This is something to consider depending on the type of function you are planning.

If space or volume is a concern you may wish to consider the smaller version of the band (5 - 7 people).

Electricity: We will need access to electrical outlets even if we are not using any PA equipment.

PA: We can provide additional PA amplification, but this is usually only used for announcements and any background music you may want during breaks.

Parking: Ideally the band needs easy access to the venue with parking available for a number of cars.

Refreshments: Such as mineral water are always appreciated by the band!
